Travel vaccinations in Southport
Travelling abroad? Protect yourself before you go. Our travel clinic gives you a personal risk assessment for your destination and the vaccines you need — without waiting weeks for a GP appointment.
How would you like to be seen?
Walk in any time we’re open, or book ahead so there’s no waiting when you arrive.
How our travel clinic works
Different countries carry different health risks, so we start with a consultation rather than guessing. We look at where you’re going, what you’ll be doing, how long you’re staying, and your medical history — then recommend exactly the vaccines and precautions you need. No upselling, no unnecessary jabs.
Vaccines we can provide
- Hepatitis A and B
- Typhoid
- Tetanus, diphtheria and polio boosters
- Cholera
- Rabies (pre-exposure course)
- Japanese encephalitis and tick-borne encephalitis
- Yellow Fever — availability at this branch is being confirmed; please ask us when you book
When to come in
Book your consultation 6 to 8 weeks before you travel where possible — some vaccines need more than one dose spread over several weeks to give full protection. Leaving it late? Come in anyway. Even last-minute, we can often still help and advise on the best protection available in your timeframe.
Malaria and travel health
We also advise on malaria prevention, food and water safety, insect-bite avoidance, and what to pack in a travel health kit. If antimalarial tablets are right for your trip, we can talk you through the options.
Prices
Prices are a guide — please confirm the current price in store or when you book. We always tell you the full cost before any treatment. Yellow Fever is only given at registered centres — we’ll confirm availability before you book.
- Are pregnant or breastfeeding
- Have a weakened immune system or are on immunosuppressant medicine
- Have had a serious reaction to a vaccine before
- Feel unwell with a fever after returning from a malaria-risk area — seek urgent care
Bring a list of your current medicines and any past vaccination records to your consultation.
Common questions
How much will it cost in total?
It depends on your destination and which vaccines you need. After your consultation we’ll give you a full price before anything goes ahead.
Do I need an appointment?
Booking is best for travel consultations so we can give you proper time, but ask us — we may be able to see you sooner.
Can you advise for the whole family?
Yes — we can assess and vaccinate adults and children travelling together.
